Birthday Alerts For iOS Contacts

Remembering my family and friends’ birthdays is really important to me. However, the default settings for iOS devices, like the iPhone and iPad, do not alert you of your contacts’ birthdays. For a long time the only way you could get an alert for a contact’s birthday was to manually add a calendar event for each and every person. With a couple hundred contacts, this could take hours to set them all up.
Fortunately, there is a way to fix this without all of the hours of work to manually create the calendar alerts.
How to Set Birthday Alerts for Contacts
- Go to Settings
- Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Scroll down to the Calendar section
- Click Default Alert Times
- Select Birthdays
- Choose when you want to receive your alerts
- On day of event (9 AM)
- 1 day before (9 AM)
- 2 days before (9 AM)
- or 1 week before

Thanks for the scoop! I was really confused about it.
