Yes it's active now. I got it myself. Checkin to any 4 recomended venues on The Urban Daily foursquare page. I also just updated the unlock instrustions and posted the badge image.

Nice! But some did by checking in to 1 venue only.This shows that previous check ins count.

Sounds like previous checkins do count for this badge. But I test all new badges with a test acct that has no previous checkins so i know how many checkins it will take for someone that has no previous checkins in any of the venues they recomend.

I also tested with an empty test account and it took me only 3 checkins, not 4!

Ok just tested it 2 more times and both unlocked it with 3 checkins. I have no clue why it took 4 with the first one. But in anycase i will update the unlock info. Thanks for the heads up on the 3 checkins for the unlock.

Same with me. I know for sure I've checked in to Harvard University which is a suggested venue, and Rockefeller Center. So I got mine on one check-in. Priors definitely count.
