Unlock Message: "Check the hoses on your spacesuit and prepare for launch! You have discovered lots of NASA related locations, making you an official NASA Explorer. Keep looking up and checking in!"
As far as i know the 5 pages of recommended venues are all they have and those are the only places to unlock the badge. I have not heard of any locations in NYC to unlock it as of yet.
Incidently, this the badge where 1 of the recommended venues (the one in McClellen CA) is a de-activated military base that may or may not be secured. And another venue is the Dryden Test Facility, Edwards CA, and that is in a secured area of a very active military base. Heads up to all you non-jumpers trying to get this badge...probably should stay clear of these venues unless you have a military I.D...Or you like being chased by black jeeps
this one is elusive, it took me over a dozen check-ins at places from all over their tips pages (including nasa hq) before it finally unlocked at griffith observatory in los angeles. keep trying, you'll get it eventually.
Yea I know the venue you are refering to ( https://foursquare.com/venue/39764) and it's just one of those things the brand decides which places they are going to recommend and they always seem to leave out alot of venues that people would have though would have been included. Guess it all just comes down to how much time they wanted to spend since they do have to go through and list all the venues 1 at a time and write a comment for each one that they recommend.
Well I can tell you because your check-ins from 10:22am on were so close together, nothing after your 10:27 check-in counted. Remember, you're only allowed 3 check-ins every 15 minutes. Then you have to wait 15 minutes from your LAST check-in before it'll start counting again. If you didn't get points for the check-in, it didn't count.
Also, your check-in at 8:55 was in washington DC, then at 10:22 back in Florida. Then a few minutes later in NY. That's too fast and there's no way you got credit for all of those. You have to take travel time in to consideration. I'd delete every check-in after your 3:00am check-in and try again.
Help for those with NASA venue check-ins in CA: Multiple visits to venues below counted toward badge, but badge unlocked only when I visited the NASA Exploration Center - Ames Visitors Center in Mountain View (https://foursquare.com/venue/2529010).
the link on the MOG website has never worked for me either, from various browsers. update the link? all the other links on the list seems to work fine except for this particular one. thanks.
