    Is this NYC only? I have checked into at least 10 Baltimore and DC trucks but no badge.

    @funflirt11 it unlocks everywhere. Make sure it's main category is food truck. Also, make sure you're getting points for checking in. Being moving targets, it sometimes doesn't give points. If you've done all that, then I would suggest using three venues from the unlock instructions with foursquare mobile.
