    It's not yet available in Australia. Last year it unlocked at 8 pm local time (almost an hour ago). I might try again in a few minutes just in case it unlocks at 9.

    just checked in and in my history it shows up as friday 12.30 am, the +3 is also missing :)

    Yea hopefully it does. From what I have seen there are about 12 brands that mention checking in at their NYE parties to get the 4sqr 2012 NYE badge. So hopefully they all are right and know something the rest of us dont.

    I would have to search again to find them all... But most were major hotels and resorts in Vegas, NYC, LA, etc.... But if this badge does happen and unlocks like last year then any checkin anywhere in the US will get you the badge.

    The About Foursquare blog just posted an article stating that there will be no "New Years 2012 Badge" this year. Here is a link to their article:

    They are also not connected to 4sqr in any way and are going by comments that users have sent them. The badge did not unlock untill 8pm local time in NYC last year.. Still a little too early to know for sure.
