3. One check-in unlocks the badge, Another 4 music venues after that levels up to level 2. Then every 5 music venues levels up after that.

Last years music badge was 3 different concerts at sxsw.

Edit: However, if it's like the film badge, one checkin will unlock and other checkins will level up the badge.
