You can't go by visible checkins. I check in everywhere "off the grid" when I am jumping so it appears that I get all my badges with little or no checkins.

the one venue u have -- https://foursquare.com/venue/9264309 --- is not cat. as a fried chicken joint but cat. as a Southern or Soul Food Restaurant.. So i checked into this one also -- https://foursquare.com/venue/21388818 --then got my badge... but thanks for the rest made it alot easier....

Look not only for "Fried Chicken Joint": you find many more looking for "KFC", but beware, the only valid ones are those with the chicken leg icon.

Must be categorised as "Fried Chicken Joint". Not all chicken leg icon venues are categorised as that.

StarEdge is correct, the venue "Southern and Soul Food" has a chicken leg icon as well and that will not unlock the badge

that one was more tedious than it needed to be, all thanks to sloppy venue setup. kfc's are the most obvious choice, but almost all the local ones were set up as fast food places, not fried chicken joints. since i can't change the categories of venues i didn't create, i had to look for kfc's that weren't categorized at all, check in, then change the default category through my history, then delete the check-in, then check-in again once the correct category had been assigned. (yeah, i could've just used previously located venues, but i didn't feel like traveling to new york again just to get another badge... :D )

@Graneyconsult thanks for the venues,i delete some from my history and copy some of yours and got the badge,phew! and thanks guys you all are marvelous man.

what happens if i get the badge and by accident i delete the venue from which i got the badge? i wanted to delete a different venue, but ended up deleting the Fried Chicken Venue, then my badge disappeared! Will be able to get the badge once again at a later time? AnYoNe know the answer?

yes just checkin again at the same venue or any other venue listed as a freid chicken joint and u will get the badge again

just do a search on foursquare for "fried chicken joint" it will list all the places close to you. i just did a quick search near boston and found a few. so they def have them in mass,

I checked into many fried chicken joints and still wasnt getting the badge til the other day... I believe it has to be 10 check ins on different days... they have to have the chicken leg symbol to count

I can confirm it does not have to be 10 different days.

The venue needs to be classified as a "fried chicken joint". In Chicago, there are not many venues classified as such. So, I earned the badge at a venue with nearly no checkins. (!)
Search them out. 3=D)
