    There are a few venues beyond the beltway.
    But none in Illinois, despite the current President of the United States of America being from here.
    Not even the statue of Civil War General John A. Logan, who represented Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives, has its local statue referred in. {Its local statue shouldn't be downtown anyhow. It needs to be relocated to Logan Square [doh]. But that is another issue.}

    no.. you cant checkin to 5 venues right in a row and get credit for all of them. Check out this post for more info http://www.mattersofgrey.com/forum/discussion/6/foursquare-mobile-web-site#Item_9 The checkins can be in one day just have to be spread out.

    Not sure if this is retired?

    Tried locations listed by AlexJunior, did not unlocked. All check-ins spaced out over a few hours and I made sure I earned points in each check-in.

    It is possible that we may not have changed it yet or that the page you had may have been the cached version still showing it as active. Bummer that you weren't able to unlock it though
