Nation’s Capital badges would be great for the summer considering it’s tourist season…or what we affectionately call “Rabbit-Season”.
POTUS or FLOTUS badges (for White House tours)
TOP OF THE WORLD badge for climbing the Washington Monument
BLOSSOM badge for visiting the Arboretum/National Botanical Garden
Uber Agent badge for visiting the Spy Museum
And maybe a few dining or cocktail badges similar to the ones for NY and SF.

How about a badge for Buddhist temple visits? Your zen garden is kinda sorta close.
don’t know if I like the hypochondriac badge so much, since i’m a doctor and checkin A LOT tagged hospital;)
i would suggest: “hey, doc!” badge for 30 checkins tagged hospital, with a little sthetoscope and red-crossed suitcase.
but I love the “post office” and the “sashimi” ideas!
i’m filled with ideas today, sent these to foursquare:
EARLY BIRD – “arriving before 7am 5 times in 2 weeks? by choice or by obligation, you truly are an early bird!” – 5 checkins after 5am and before 7am in a period of 2 weeks earns you a badge with a roaster singing, like it does very early in the morning
BEACH RAT – “you’re like gym rat, but cooler. or at least more tanned! sing us a bossa nova song!” 5 checkins somewhere tagged beach in the last 30 days. Artwork: something like this http://moourl.com/ew0fx
SUNSET WATCHER – “3 times in open-air locations between 4pm and 8pm? Real sunset is your favorite tv show!”; artwork = sunset. 3 checkins somewhere tagged “outdoor” or “lake” or “beach” or “nature” between 4pm and 8pm
SOULMATES – “30 checkins together?? More than BFF’s, you guys must be soul mates! Keep that love flowing!”; art = 2 people holding hands with a little heart between them. 30 checkins with someone from your friend list.
BRUNCH HUNCH – “no proper lunch for you, you let go of your watch a little bit and merge 2 meals: a weekend classic!” – 4 Saturday / Sunday checkins between 10am and 1pm somewhere tagged “breakfast/brunch” or “bar” or “restaurant”
and finally. art: hot chocolate, a glass of orange juice, a slice of cake and a toast with scrumbled eggs on top of it
TIPPER – “who needs a tourist handbook when they have you? 10 tips for 10 different places!”; leave 10 tips with at least 50 characters in 10 different venues; art = a little finger pointing somewhere on a map
LIFE SAVER – “30 times in a hospital? You’re no hypochondriac, you’re on the other bender-and-crunked-life-saving side! You work there!” 30 checkins tagged hospital. Art = a little sthetoscope and a white-red-crossed suitcase.
OUTDOORS TYPE – “open spaces are where your free spirit belongs! This is the 10th time you go out and enjoy some nature and fresh air!” 10 checkins tagged “outdoor” or “nature”. Art = some hills with a tree, a little lake and blue sky
