Nation’s Capital badges would be great for the summer considering it’s tourist season…or what we affectionately call “Rabbit-Season”.
POTUS or FLOTUS badges (for White House tours)
TOP OF THE WORLD badge for climbing the Washington Monument
BLOSSOM badge for visiting the Arboretum/National Botanical Garden
Uber Agent badge for visiting the Spy Museum
And maybe a few dining or cocktail badges similar to the ones for NY and SF.

How about a badge for Buddhist temple visits? Your zen garden is kinda sorta close.
don’t know if I like the hypochondriac badge so much, since i’m a doctor and checkin A LOT tagged hospital;)
i would suggest: “hey, doc!” badge for 30 checkins tagged hospital, with a little sthetoscope and red-crossed suitcase.
but I love the “post office” and the “sashimi” ideas!
i’m filled with ideas today, sent these to foursquare:
EARLY BIRD – “arriving before 7am 5 times in 2 weeks? by choice or by obligation, you truly are an early bird!” – 5 checkins after 5am and before 7am in a period of 2 weeks earns you a badge with a roaster singing, like it does very early in the morning
BEACH RAT – “you’re like gym rat, but cooler. or at least more tanned! sing us a bossa nova song!” 5 checkins somewhere tagged beach in the last 30 days. Artwork: something like this http://moourl.com/ew0fx

and finally. art: hot chocolate, a glass of orange juice, a slice of cake and a toast with scrumbled eggs on top of it
TIPPER – “who needs a tourist handbook when they have you? 10 tips for 10 different places!”; leave 10 tips with at least 50 characters in 10 different venues; art = a little finger pointing somewhere on a map
LIFE SAVER – “30 times in a hospital? You’re no hypochondriac, you’re on the other bender-and-crunked-life-saving side! You work there!” 30 checkins tagged hospital. Art = a little sthetoscope and a white-red-crossed suitcase.
OUTDOORS TYPE – “open spaces are where your free spirit belongs! This is the 10th time you go out and enjoy some nature and fresh air!” 10 checkins tagged “outdoor” or “nature”. Art = some hills with a tree, a little lake and blue sky

How about a “Mountain Goat” or a “Schirpa” (sp?) badge for 10x checkins on hiking trails?
“Triple Bypass” badge for 3x (or maybe 5x? 3 may be too easy for some!) fast food checkins in 1 week.
I’m thinking A Disney World one. I go way to much and have ideas for a billion different ones but the main one should be “Mouseketeer -WDW” For visiting all four main Walt Disney World parks. Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios & Epcot in one day. You can also get one for visiting Disneyland & California Adventure in one day.

Elvis Badge. Cities to unlock it in- Tupelo, Memphis, Las Vegas, and honolulu. The design of the badge can be his hair with sideburns. lol.
I’ve e-mailed a few suggestions to the foursquare staff, but so far have not seen anything like them show up:
“Zoologist” – a certain number of checkins at places categorized “Zoo / Aquarium”
“Bookworm” – certain number of checkins at bookstores and libraries
100, 250, and 500 checkins – like the ones for 10, 25, and 50, but for higher milestones!
I’d also like to see them bring back the BBQ badge, for a certain number of checkins at venues tagged “BBQ” or “barbecue”.
And few other ideas I came up with:
“US Traveler” – Check in at venues in a certain number of different US states
“World Traveler” – Check in at venues in a certain number of different countries
“Caffeinated” – Certain number of checkins at venues categorized “Coffee Shop” (not Starbucks-specific like the Barista badge)
“Trick or Treat” – Check in at a venue tagged “haunted house” or “Halloween”
“Equestrian” – Certain number of checkins at venues tagged “stable”, “equestrian center”, “horses”, “horseback riding” etc.
“Grease Monkey” – Certain number of checkins at venues categorized “Automotive”
I agree with the World Traveler one…something like Stamp that Passport for checking in to 5 different countries or something! Fun.
Stoner badge… Check into five glass shops or a dispensary ten times.
ZERO COOL – Checking in a Toorcon, Defcon, BlackHat, or other type Hacker..errr…computer security conferences.

Those are AWESOME! I have also put in a bunch of requests…one I especially want is “Bronzed Bunny” (checking in to 3 tanning salons?) or “Beach Bunny” – I guess there’s the “Swimmies”, but checking in to 3 – 5 beaches? Or Pool Party Peach (checking in to 3 – 5 pools?)

How about a badge for using NYC mass transit. (Sort of a NYC version of the BART trainspotter badge. You could make the “unlock” fairly steep, (like 20 checkins within 1 week). This way 10 million people wouldn’t get the badge in one fell swoop.

A Christmas 2010 badge! Under message it could read, “I saw Mother kissing Santa Claus”, under unlock it could read, “Check into your home between midnight and 3am Christmas morning while your putting the kids toys together”. Or something like that!
Great idea. I am fairly certain that Foursquare will release holiday badges of some sort. I would also expect some sort of New Years Swarm badge
There is a badge “Super Mayor” for 10+ mayorship…how about the mileage badge for the badges we’ve unlocked…one badge for 50+ badges unlocked, 100+, 150+ and so on…:)
Or another badge for 500+ check-ins, 1000+, 1500+ and so on…:)
let’s up the swarm family badges to 1500 or 2000…looks like many events in some countries can easily grouped 1000 foursquare users at a venue in a single period,with more & more foursquare users start signing up…Epic swarm has become obsolete…super Epic swarm is what we are looking for right now…!
Four ideas came to me this morning:
Globe Trotter Badge – for checking in on at least three continents
Site Seer Badge – 10X at monuments/landmarks
Bachelor Party – Like the poor decisions badge but require a night of bars of strip clubs (lets say 1 bar, 1 strip club) followed by a religious building check in within 7 days.
Holy Roller Badge – Check in at church or religious institution 4 times in 30 days.

For the tattoo one, I think the symbol should be something different. Maybe a heart that says mom. I didn’t realize it was a tat gun until I read the description.
I think there should be a 1000th check in badge.
My wife signed us up for a tour of a haunted Sanatorium in Louisville this summer and I thought of this badge last night:
Ghost Hunter – check in at 20 locations tagged “haunted”
State parks. Museums. State historic sites. These sort of places have already been designated, so are naturals for badges.

Mayor Thief is when a user ousts mayors 10 times. Impeacher is the same thing but 50 times.

NYC FLEET WEEK 2011 – A badge that is unlocked by checking into five different venues or events held during Fleet Week 2011 in NYC! Venues include the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, other visiting Navy ships, attractions like the Concorde and Growler Submarine, local businesses like H&H Bagels, and neaby public venues like the park at Pier 84!
Alcoholic – 100 check ins to bars, pubs or off licenses
how about one for video games like if you check into gamestop 5 times or any other video game related location
