iPhone 4 vs Droid X: Cameras
by Chaunce Dolan on Thursday, July 29th, 2010
Next in the series of battles between the iPhone 4 and Droid X is between their cameras. We shot several pictures in a variety of different settings:
- Indoor: normal (blue colors)
- Indoor: normal
- Indoor: Flash
- Indoor: Zoomed
- Outdoor: normal
- Outdoor: full zoom
- Outdoor: tap zoom 1
- Outdoor: tap zoom 2
- Outdoor: high contrast
The resolution for each phone camera are: iPhone at 5MP and Droid X at 8MP.
You will see that the iPhone 4′s camera can keep pace with the clarity of the Droid X proving that higher megapixels isn’t always better. The colors captured in with the iPhone 4 are incredibly more vivid in some situations as well. It also seems that the Droid X seems to be sensitive to bright light and gives some pictures a glowing effect.
