Watching movies happen to be one of our favorite things to do. A good movie can inspire, warm your heart, make you laugh your socks off, or scare the begeezers out of you. With so many different movie types out there, it’s the geeky ones that really speak to our hearts.

Life Changing

Most of you could probably guess the first movie selection we would feature. Star Wars: The Complete Saga was chosen due to how it has changed lives. Watching almost any of the movies makes you want to fight the hordes from the Dark Side or be one of the Dark Side yourself. The life changing sometimes even bleeds into your own personal life in the form of merchandise, collectibles, costumes, and clubs. Not only is it an inspiring movie series, it has affected the entire movie industry by the countless fan films.

Epic Story Telling

There is nothing a geek likes more than being whisked away to a fictional place to escape this world or just merely get ideas for global domination. The Lord of the Rings movie collection is one of the best mythical, magical, and monstrous fantasy movies out there. There is a sense of hope for the characters, even against the crushing hordes or Mordor. Middle Earth was just absolutely beautiful and Mordor really looked like what the pits of Hell would probably be like. Watch the entire collection in a day and you will never want to leave Middle Earth.

Laughter Soothes the Soul

When life throws us a bunch of curve balls, sometimes the only thing to do is laugh about it. In fact, laughter is so ingrained in a geeks life that it takes many forms. However, one of the best forms is a hilarious movie. The cornerstone of any movie geek collection is Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This cult classic has more one-liners than any movie out there and is the epitome of British slap-stick humor. It is also a movie that you could watch a dozen different times and would never bore of.
