How to Download
- Right-click the desired format of the ringtone you want (mp3 or m4r)
- Click “Save As” and choose the location to download to

A long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away) when I got my current cell phone, I was able to get the spy from Mos Eisley as my ring. Now I’m getting a new phone–I’m afraid I won’t be able to keep it, and it’s no longer available from AT&T. Any chance you’ll be adding that to the list?
Just wondering how do you download these. When I click on mp3 it opens up to a quicktime player audio playing the ringtone but how do you save it to your computer?
Try doing a right-click “Save as…” and see if your computer will allow you to say the mp3 that way.

Admiral Ackbar (from Episode VI): simply “It’s a trap!”
or (as is less freely available) “Admiral! We have enemy ships in Sector 3-7!” – “It’s a trap!”
how do I download a m4r file onto a mac running snow leopard?
You will need to right-click and “Save Link As” to a folder. Then drag the file into iTunes
You can download sounds from the official Star Wars Soundboards from starwars.com
Using a mac do the following:
Open the soundboards > Window > Activity.
Look through current browser to find the individual .mp3 URLs.
Double-click appropriate URL, this will open a new window with the sound playing.
Drag URL to downloads box, and DONE.
I found the soundboard on the site but did not see where you said it could be downloaded. Can you be more specific?

I tried the link for the Duel of the fates .m4r verison for iphone4 and the link seems to be broken.

Thanks for catching that. It was a typo in the file name. Should work now. Be sure you are doing a right-click >> Save As to grab the file.

it is not clear how a person actually downloads the soundtracks. i looked everywhere on the site. nowhere does it say download here or anything that gives an indication of how to go about getting the ringtone. what do I do to get one?
if you are on your computer, you can right click and choose “save link as” and then save the tone of choice to your computer to sync with your phone.
Hi, I assume you need to open this web page/site on a pc not on the iPhone to download any of these fantastic ringtones as it was not clear from the start sorry im not computer savvy

These work for the blackberry as text tones, but they are being saved as ringtones. I would like it as a text tone. How can we save them on an iphone for text tones?
Unfortunately, Apple has not enabled a way of applying custom ringtones to application sounds (ie. text or email alerts). If you have your phone jailbroken then there are methods out there to being able to set custom application alerts.
Having the ability to assign custom tones to application sounds is one of the features that I have wished Apple would develop for years now.

I can’t d/l the m4r files. When I click the link it goes to another screen and shows a heap of symbols and text. Am I missing something?
Is it a specific file that is doing this to you or all of them? Typically the easiest way to get the m4r files is to right-click on the link and Save As..

How bout episode 5 where emperor sends a transmission to vader and he says to move the ship out of the asteroid field so that theyll receive a clear transmission. BTW Thanks for doing this! ITS AWESOME!!! Shawn is right too, some emperor tones would be cool.

I am looking for a ringtone from episode 3 when vader first puts on the black helmet and it makes the high pitch squeel then you here the heavy breathing. That would make a great startup tone.
