The Gamescom Interactive Game and Entertainment Festival is currently going on in Cologne Germany, and the folks from Harmonix were there demonstrating the upcoming Rock Band 3 game. During an interview conducted by GottGame, senior designer Sylvain Dubrofsky can be seen in the background scrolling through a music library.

The video of this interview has already been added and quickly subtracted from YouTube. I have come across another version of it, but I do not know how long it will remain available.

I don’t particularly like to promote unsubstantiated rumors. However, I can deduce by this new list of rumored songs is that if they are not in the 83-song new Rock Band 3, then they probably will be available at one point from the Rock Band DLC online store as an add-on. I can get excited about that.

The songs that could be seen and deciphered were:

  • False Alarm (The Bronx)
  • Free Bird (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
  • Don’t Bury Me… I’m Still Not Dead (Riverboat Gamblers)
  • Heart of Glass (Blondie )
  • I Can See For Miles (The Who)
  • I Got You (I Feel Good) (James Brown)
  • Imagine (John Lennon)
  • In a Big Country (Big Country)
  • Jerry Was a Race Car Driver (Primus)
  • Killing Moon (Echo and the Bunnymen)
  • King George (Dover)
  • Last Dance (Raveonettes)
  • Living in America (The Sounds)
  • Llama (Phish)
  • Misery Business (Paramore)
  • One Armed Scissor (At the Drive-In)
  • Outer Space (The Muffs)
  • Radar Love (Golden Earring)
  • Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting) (Elton John)
  • Smoke on the Water (Deep Purple)
  • Viva La Resistance (Hypernova)
  • Something Bigger, Something Brighter (Pretty Girls Make Graves)
  • This Bastard’s Life (Swingin’ Utters)
  • Walk of Life (Dire Straits)
  • Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt. 1 (Flaming Lips)

That brings the confirmed and rumored track list up to the full 83 songs.  It will be interesting to see if this pans out to be completely true, or if some of these rumors will be just rumors. Either way, the excitement for the game’s late October release is growing.
